ESET on securing a new Mac

ESET’s Stephen Cobb has just published a blog article on Your Apple Mac made even safer: Part 3 of securing new devices. It gives high-level advice on:

  • Backup
  • Creating recovery media
  • The OS X firewall
  • Software Update
  • Anti-malware installation
  • Password protection
  • Risky plugins

The article also tells us that ESET people will be at MacWorld and MacIT later this week and promises further Mac-related blogs, as well as pointing to a recent podcast on Unwrapping Mac Security.
