Local Hero

I was impressed today to find one of my books in the local public library. For the first time ever, though my cousin in Australia once emailed me to say she’d found a copy of “Viruses Revealed” in her local library in Western Australia.

Well, it’s a novelty to find any IT security books in an English library less than 15 years old, or even an IT book that isn’t “Facebook for the Technically Challenged” or “The Silver Surfer’s Guide to Switching on a PC.”

The only reason I’m mentioning it here is that it was “OS X Exploits and Defense“, for which I wrote a couple of lightweight chapters three or four years ago.  It might be interesting to go back to it and see how well the content holds up a few years on, in my copious free time…
