It is way, way too early for blue-sky ruminations on the security implications: in fact, I’d have said that it’s risky to extrapolate too much in the way of future development strategy from a patent.
Still, Apple’s patent catchily entitled “(WO/2010/006210) TRANSITIONING BETWEEN MODES OF INPUT” does suggest some interesting possibilities of iGadget convergence, and the iMac Touch posited by Patently Apple certainly does look not only possible, but kind of exciting. I guess I’ll start saving now…
