Why, you may ask, would I want to read about Windows Mobile Dialup Fraud (covertly dialling premium rate telephone services) at Mac Virus? At least, I’m guessing there are more iPhone users reading this page…
The answer is that while the malicious apps in question aren’t for iPhone, Apple Insider took the opportunity to do a little Apple evangelism, beating the drum for AppStore whitelisting. Which isn’t a bad thing, by any means, but some of their comments were a little misleading. My take on it is on the ESET blog here:
